Hand-crafted Wine, Small-batch Beers, Locally-sourced Food, and the Lovely Ozark Views

Welcome to Peaceful Bend

We invite you to visit our cozy tasting room snuggled into the hilltops above the Meramec River just outside of Steelville, Missouri. While you’re here, you’ll enjoy our hand-crafted wine, small-batch beers, locally-sourced food, and the lovely Ozark views. Grab a pal or two and enjoy an afternoon of fun and relaxation while you take in all that Peaceful Bend has to offer.

White Wines

Courtois

A dry white, light acidity and medium body. Apple, melon and floral notes make this wine a fantastic pairing with trout, brie, and pickled vegetables

Dry Creek

A dry white, barrel-fermented and sur lie aged white perfect for smoked fish, pork, or full-flavored cheeses.

Harvest Mist

A semi-dry white blend with flavors reminiscent of honey and oranges. Pair this wine with fruit desserts, salads, or grilled brats.

Whittenburg

A semi-sweet white with a medium body. Floral & tropical notes make for a surprisingly complex wine. Pairs deliciously with spicy foods, salads of all kinds, and oranges.

Rose Wines

Huzzah Valley

A sweet Rosé made predominently from Catawba grapes. Fruity, light, and perfect for nibbles of cheese & sausage, strawberries, or blueberries.

Red Wines

Meramec

A bold and tasty dry red blend of Norton and Chambourcin grapes that have been aged in McGinnis Wood Products white oak barrels for 18 months. Pair with lamb, beef, and full-flavored cheeses such as blue cheese.

Forche Renault

A dry red blend of Syrah & Malbec. The winemaker had fun trying out a few non-Missouri grown grapes for this light, fun blend. Oak aging brings a peppery note that pairs perfectly with beef or pork.

Yadkin Creek

A lighter, friendly, semi-dry blend of Chambourcin and Norton, done exclusively in stainless steel tanks to preserve Chambourcin’s fruity notes. Delicious when paired with Thai food or anything with raspberries.

Meet Our Team

Clyde Gill

Owner, Winemaker, Brew Master, Chief Mechanic, Head of Humourousness

Clyde is the backbone to all Peaceful Bend beverages. He provides the vision, guidance and support that is essential for our operation. When not in the cellar, he’s usually enjoying live music, visiting with friends, or grilling up a storm. Plus he’s getting darn good at telling Grandpa jokes to his 5-year old grandson.

Katie Nott

Owner, Tasting Room/Eatery Operations Manager, Officer of Administrivia

Katie’s given up her days as a vineyard manager to come inside the tasting room where she offers customers insight into the wines, beers, and food offered. She also handles most of the accounting, marketing, and event scheduling. When not drinking her favorite wine, Dry Creek, Katie can be found reading, hiking, and trying not to roll her eyes at Clyde’s jokes.
